I arrived late shortly before 9.00pm after a long journey to a very friendly greeting and the news that I was still easily in time for dinner - very welcome news! The hotel furnishings are very imaginative, the hobson real ale excellent as was the white wine with the sole which was cooked to perfection. The bedroom was very nice with a good shower and breakast was also delicious.

The hotel shows signs of wear, with issues like lingering mustiness in the reception area and a lack of attention to cleaning details, including peanuts on the floor that went unnoticed. In terms of room features, the lumpy carpets pose a trip hazard, and the hygiene levels could use serious improvement-especially with the dirty dishcloth left out. Dining experiences left much to be desired, as we were told we couldn't be served until our reservation time, despite a few empty tables, leading to over an hour wait for food. Breakfast orders were mixed up on both mornings, and the limited breakfast offerings did not meet expectations. Finally, a plumbing issue during checkout resulted in unpleasant odors, made the last moments uncomfortable.

The room was well furnished with two chairs, very comfortable beds and a good range of complimentary goodies, chocolates biscuits etc. a very modern bathroom. And ample space in both rooms.
We were not allowed to peruse a menu over predinner drinks in the lounge. Menus only available once we had got a table. When we queried this, the owner stated the policy was due to pressure on tables from non resident diners. I still think a menu should have been available even if order taking was restricted to at table.

I couldn't fault the cleanliness of the hotel. Our room was very comfortable. The staff were extremely friendly, courteous and very obliging. The food was also great.
The situation of the hotel wasn't brilliant and our room overlooked a scruffy garden.

I thought the room and decor was excellent, modern and very comfortable.
No childrens menu which meant I had to go elsewhere for dinner. The menu looked excellent but there were no simply options for a young child.

Hotel staff are excellent. Do not be deceit by the exterior appearance of the building, inside is very cosy, the room is clean, mordern and compact. It has a lovely garden. Though it is close to the road, we are not disturb by any traffice noise. It has no elevator but guest rooms is on the first floor only. The restaurant serves very good food. The chef goes out of the way to cook a special dish for my son. The Inn gives me a family home feeling and I feel very comfortable staying there.
